Yes, thanks for the pictures. It would have taken me awhile to figure out how to remove the system board, also. Mine does not have the LEDs. I won't have a chance to look at it until this weekend (a full day today, and a new HD300 to install first chance I get). Really looking forward to getting this done. Thanks again for your help.

The picture would help even more if I had the same board! Mine is just slightly different. On the bottom of the case my version is shown as Rev C1. One of the differences is that it does not have those connectors. Also missing the R453 shown in the photo. I am still going to see what I can do to tap into the existing power on the board for my fan. At least I am inspired to do something at this point. Thanks again.

Well, looks like I have one of those over heating HD-PVR's, so I just ordered the EVERCOOL FAN-EC8010LL05E 80x80x10mm Low Speed Fan.

I'm thinking of just cutting the wires, and soldering them direct, so I don't have to remove the board.

And yes, I'm going to STOMP those silly LEDs!!!!!! Too much light!!!!!

The blue "bling" light? I'm pretty sure that one can be disabled through software. But, if you've got the case open and wire cutters handy...

One of my HD-PVRs started acting funny recently. I already replaced the power supply a few months ago. I have taken off the top of the case and it seems to be running fine now so maybe it is a temp issue. I think this is a Rev C1 which just has a tiny fan on the side and no apparent exhaust hole.

By the way, no wire cutters are required, just unplug the bling lights, which you have to do to remove the top anyhow.
