Ask to delete when I hit 'Stop'

In SageTV 6, (probably because I was using SageMC), when I hit the 'Stop' button during playback, I was prompted if I want to delete the recording.

In SageTV 7, unless I run the recording ALL the way to the end, I do not get the 'do you want to delete this?' popup. I've set the 'always ask to delete' option to true, but we rarely watch shows to the end, as the show usually ends before the recording is up. Is there a way in SageTV7 stock to get this 'delete' popup to show up when you stop even before you get to the end of the recording? A plugin will work, but I'd like to do it without replacing the entire STVi.
