I went through this exercise a while back, details in the following thread.
http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44688 Couple things to note, I'm using the Linux version of Sage so my choices are considerably more limited (most of the XML TV plugins are Windows only). The solution is pretty primitive but have been working nicely now for around a year now  Note, the source of the guide data has changed a little since then. I'm getting my data from http://nzepg.org/freeview.xml.gz Dylan
