My.TV IR Blaster and HP MCE-PVR 150

Greetings,

1st post and coming to you from a former Meedio/Meedios/Media Portal/BeyondTV user perspective. I'm investigating SageTV as a replacement for all things HTPC related and having a bit of a problem with two elements.

Pretty sure I know the answer to my first question which is working with usb IR Blaster called My.TV the company making the blaster have long since been out of business but being usb I was hoping since both Media Portal and BeyondTV could support it SageTV would as well. Any suggestions?

Secondly and I've covered the forums in some length is working with a Hauppauge MCE-PVR-150 for tuning SD TV. I have video fine albeit (with the above issue) unable to turn channels, but no audio. The same setup is working fine on my HTPC setup with BeyondTV currently so I know the drivers are present to have the card work correctly. I've setup NTSC and tried every audio renderer under the sun (that SageTV) provides me access to change.

I'm contemplating purchasing the Hauppauge HD-PVR which I think would solve both problems, but would really like to squeak by with what I have long enough to justify the Theater 300 and a true client/server model. As not having a PC near the TV is a big gain for the other-half.

Suggestions welcomed and pre-thankyou.

Hang in there because with the latest beta (7.0.17) the hauppauge encoders seem to be broken(ie no audio). It was working fine with 7.0.15. Should be fixed soon.
