Hardware support request/suggestion

Looks like it will record h.264 to full HD, although they don't provide any detailed specs yet. Also looks like yet another product that will only talk to its own software. As more cable companies lock out QUAM/Clear channels (mine allows NO use of any direct digital cable capture) SAGE is going to need SOMEONE to make a reliable component capture device to keep their product viable and relevant. Maybe contact Black Magic and work out a deal to develop something using this? Id GLADLY pay 400$ for a SAGE approved component capture device. I'm sure in bulk direct from them you could get the price down enough that you could turn a profit on the hardware and keep SAGE alive as a brand. I love the software, but my cable company it determined to force me to use their DVR and its 2010 so I should be able to watch HD some time soon without selling my soul and ditching your product. |
