parser regex question (replace?)

Hi,
First off, thanks for all of your work.

I am looking into writing some parsers for some of my shows. Specifically, I have several tv shows that are named

Show.Name.SXXEXX.Title.of.episode.ext

In shows with multiple words in the title, the words are separated by a '.' instead of a space. The '.' in the name seem to be confusing the searches. I can write a regex replace but that takes two lines of regex (afaik, my regex skills are intermediate, I am certainly no guru). I don't see a way to do this in the parser xml. What is available in the parsers as far as logic? Is there another way I can do this without renaming all the files?

Thanks for your time.

I deal with these types of files all the time, and I've never had an issue. Could you a sample filename? Also, if you do a scan and it fails again, you can send me the logs and I can see why it is failing. I doubt it's because of the periods.

hrmph... maybe that's what I get for working too late. I did the upgrade, removed everything from my library, added them and rescanned. It seems to be working now. the logs are overwritten (possibly during upgrade?) so I can't even see what the issue was now.

sorry for the false alarm.
thanks

I have noticed on some occasions... that when SageTV restarts after installing bmt... it seems that not all files are there... but then when I restart again, everything shows up... i'm wondering if this is what happened to you.. ie, the scraper files were "temporarily" missing.
