Connected to what? Cable, OTA, s-video output? I thought everyone stopped braodcasting in analog.

Are you trying to tune cable or OTA. I would it expect to work with cable, if your cable company still has analog channels. I was using my 2 PVR500's up till Sept. They are still in my backup system but I had not had any reason to test them lately. I only stopped using them because I now have a new 64 bit system and I got a PVR-2250 to receive my analog channels.

My cable company still has analog channels, so there are still some use of them. But I do expect them to go away at some point. About 2 months ago I had cable problems and had to ask the cable company if I should still be getting them. They confirmed that I should it was a cable problem that caused the temporary loss. I suspect they were checking to see how many people were still using them.

My cable company is pretty big (Brighthouse/Time Warner) and while they did stop broadcasting in analog and only send out digital signals, they installed gizmos in the local switching/distribution areas which makes it so all you have to do is plug the coax cable into your TV to get the stations. There were some hiccups for a couple weeks while they adjusted everything but everything was quickly resolved. My PVR250s are still working great and will continue to work just fine as the transition here to digital happened some time ago
