How do I delete (or at least edit) metadata for a movie that I dont have anymore?

I have sageTV setup so when I put in a bluray disc, it automatically adds it as an import and BMT adds respective metadata for it (I have no idea where) since no properties file was created that I know of.

However, now that I have that movie ripped to a folder, I still have a metadata entry for that movie under "Bluray" with a hard-set Location=H:\BDMV

I need to be able to edit that information to point to the ISO or the new ripped folder location. Preferably, just a click to delete that entire metadata entry for that blu-ray disc and let BMT pick up it up again in a different location and possibly different format.

I'm sure there are going to be many times I want to first try out the bluray disc, then if I really like it, move it over to my hard drive; which requires a new metadata entry.

I tried adding the sageTV 7 metadata editor, but it only edited very basic info; definitely not location. I didnt see anywhere in BMT web interface to delete the old blu-ray disc entry (when browsing under BluRay).

Thanks for all your help Sean. I dont know what I would do without you.

Edit: I'm not sure why there isn't a delete feature for titles that you dont want anymore. Maybe Im too dumb to figure it out. But, I did notice that when I click on the little configuration/settings wheel icon for the movie, instead of one of the items being.. Delete title, I see a bunch of information; one of which says GWTMediaFile which has the location variable; which not surprisingly is not editable either.

So... instead of reverting back to an older Win.bin after I watch a movie on bluray disc and decide to either delete it completely or move it to my ripped bluray disc collection, whats the easiest way to delete the movie under the Browse/Bluray movies section? I was very hopeful it would be a very easy thing to do.

Michael

I'm having the same issue, BMT has placed a movie that no longer exists in my Wiz.bin. Refreshing the library does not remove the movie. There has to be a way to delete it right?

Thanks,
tsw

I'm not sure how the disc feature works but if you have a movie in an import folder and remove the files the entry in Sage gets removed, not sure if it gets removed from the wiz.bin, but you should not see it in Sage anymore. Also if you move a file from folder to another as long as the original location is available Sage will add it from the new location and remove the entry based on the old location. I don't think BMT will show any media items that you can't see within Sage.

BMT does not ADD or DELETE media files.

BMT simply updates metadata for existing items. If you remove a video from SageTV and then then tell SageTV to refresh, then the video should go away. If it doesn't then I'd SageTV why it's still there.
