rca directv serial cable for cheap

everybody who needs one of these, check out cablewholesale.com, they have the parts needed to make a cable easily and for real cheap too...u can get an adapter to go from the db9 female to the rj6 all in one unit, and u set your own pinout...then just get a rj6 cable (the kind that goes from the phone to the handset) and hook it all up...

the site has a minimum 10 dollar order...but thats still half the price of 1 cable at snapstream's site...and all the parts i needed for FOUR cables came to under 10!

im ordering as soon as i get paid

edit: made 1 mistake...the adapter is a db9 female to rj45 female...however, rj6 cables fit in there, just set it to the 4 center connectors

I too went to the local electronics store to get the DB9/RJ12 adapter. While I was looking, it hit me. What the hell am I buying this for? All I need is a DB9 connector and an old phone cord, both of which I had laying around.

Just solder the cord to the connector and your done. Amazing how marketing works. People say "get this product for only $19.95" and we run out to get it. Almost got me, but my brain fart dispersed quickly.

Come on tho, from http://www.cablewholesale.com the actual adaptor is only 91 cents!!!!! Now you still need to create an RJ12 to RJ22 cord, but for 91 cents I would rather not ruin a usable cord!
