SageTV and WMC?
I use SageTV 7 on a lonely old XP machine with an HD200. So I have no experience using Sage with other flavors of Windows.
I see in the forums many references to WMC (I did use wmc at work for a bit, and know the basics about it). I am curious, are folks using Sage combined with WMC, and if so, how and why? Or am I mis understanding them? Thanks! Bobby |

No the two can not be used together. WMC will lock out your tuners from Sage if they are mapped with it. In fact, it is recommended to completely stop all WMC services on the server. Now I suppose you could run WMC on another pc and use it as a "pseudo client", but then all you are doing is using it to play back Sage recordings as if they are video imports. There would be no play back of live shows, no setting up of new recordings, etc.
