Sage7 and PowerDVD

In version 6 I have PowerDVD on my main menu so I can watch BluRay's with full menu support and what not. When I select PowerDVD SageTV minimizes until I close PowerDVD, then it rerturns when PowerDVD is closed. Is this easy to setup with version 7?

Not sure, there is a plugin that lets you launch an external program with arguments for a video, but at the moment there is no way to easily customize menus, so this might be a bit of a trick.

I think you could also still use sagemc with version 7 and get that feature (I know you can use sagemc with 7, just not sure about customization of menus or program launching).

You can use SageMC in version 7 and customize the menu. I have done it successfully.

You can also check out the unofficial extras. I think there is some menu customization stuff in there.

I just have Windows 7 launch ArcSoft whenever it sees a BD, via the Auto Play settings.

That's so simple that it should work. If it was just me, I would close sage and launch pdvd. My wife, however, likes it simple.

Thank you all.

If you program ArcSofts 'Exit' command into your remote, it's pretty seemless. Ctrl-X IIRC, but verify that.

I already have my remote setup (with the assistance of usb-uirt and eventghost) to exit powerdvd and bring sage back up from sleep. I just use a simple comcast remote with usb-uirt, sage and eventghost. It works very well for my wife and me.

I use EventGhost as well, but had all kinds of problems getting it to work reliably with PowerDVD. I switched to ArcSoft because it worked better with my remote.

Going back to the OP query, with event ghost I programmed a button on my remote to minimize SageTV and launch ArcSoft. The button set up to exit ArcSoft also restores the SageTV window.
