Bring up the Options menu on the Main Menu. You can enable the mini-browsers from there.

I can't seem to get the Sleep command to appear on the Main Menu. It was there in 1.4b3 but now it's not.

My properties:
ui/main_menu_livetv_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_livetv_text=LiveTV Guide
ui/main_menu_mlib_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_mlib_text=Media Library & DVD
ui/main_menu_schedrec_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_schedrec_text=Schedule Recordings
ui/main_menu_setup_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_setup_text=Setup
ui/main_menu_sleep_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_sleep_text=Sleep Mode
ui/main_menu_sr_enabled=true
ui/main_menu_sr_text=SageTV Recordings
ui/main_menu_tv_enabled=false

Also - Is there any way to switch between your new 1 & 2 paned views besides editing the property:
use_mlbdude_sage_recordings

Thanx

This is an old setting that Frey uses. I don't use it. If you do use it you will get an old version that does not work very well.

To switch between Sage Recording version leave that to false and use the UI to edit the Detailed Setup\Multimedia\Sage Recordings Menu setting.

FYI if you have any of the mini-browsers visible on the Main Menu, Sleep is always hidden.

dunno bout your sleep thing, but, for the recording menu, quit sage (not sleep) set use_mlbdude_sage_recordings to false. restart sage, go to setup>detailed setup>multimedia, last option in the right hand pane, sage recordings menu either default, two pane vertical, or two pane horizontal.

also if you change stv files within sage, you should quit and restart sage for your new stuff to take effect (hopefully this wont be the case when studio is released)

Any chance of getting sleep to go on the main menu with the mini-browsers in a future version?

Possibly. It is gone now because of space reasons. I may make it not there by default then let the user turn it back on if they want (but the mini-browser will cover it up unless you remove another item).

The new MlbDude2 skin I put out has more room for menu items so I was able to fit all of them on there.

The new look version is based off an older design. It may or may not incorporate features from my standard version. I am even considering doing all new ones based off the given Frey version to keep maintenance at a minimum.

New Skin

Please with the new skin keep the built in DVD player for sage, The WAF (wife approval factor) went down considerably when she couldn’t use the dvd player in the HTPC.

DVD player should work just like this STV so you should be fine.

My wife makes me use TT so I know the pressure you can get .

TT

I would use TT myself but my limited understanding of the Girder program leaves me with just getting my MCE remote to work. Maybe when I get better with girder I will be able to do more.

Mlbdude, for some reason with your STV, the DVD players Menu navigation is screwy. When you use the directonal keys there is an error message about the action not being possible with the DVD. If you close the message and hit a direction, you get it again. If you leave it open, you can then navigate as normal. This happens on every DVD I try.

I don't seem to get this option under Multimedia, despite having "use enhanced recordings" enabled under advanced... any ideas?

thx

You must be running an older version. There should not be an option for this under Advanced any longer.

Mlbdude,

I finally got to play with your latest version. Very cool. All my ripped dvd's show up great with the cover art. I love it.

Here's the question. Can the ripped dvd's be played with the external dvd player (i.e. TT)?

Thanks for all the great work....

I have not seen this in testing with DVD's (but I have not tried it allot). I do use it quite often to watch ripped DVDs though and have no issues with menu navigation.

Thats weird. I have not watched a dvd until recently with your stv. I had no problem previously though. This happens even in the ripped menus.

If you are bored, you can try 1.3.1 to see how it works. I could have screwed up something in the final release of 1.4 that I have not noticed yet.
