Stereo Only - What am I missing
I seem only to be able to record TV shows in stereo. I base this on the info field in Sage [Closed Captioned,Stereo, HDTV] and the fact that my AVR shows it's decoding L/R channels only.
I am running V6 with a dual-HDHR. My HD200 is connected to the AVR via HDMI. The HD200 is running latest release f/w. The tuners are grabbing unencrypted HD from Comcast cable. When connected drectly to the TV it shows the content has surround audio, but when I record it with Sage it's stereo. Any ideas? |

Oops....I found the problem.
I changed the HD-200 Audio Output to 'Digital Bitstream' from 'Digital PCM'. Now my AVR shows it's decoding 5.1. Strange that Sage software info field shows 'Stereo' though. |
