Hi All,
Well, finaly switched my livingroom HTPC to SageTV 2 from Showshifter - everything works, but few questions if I may: 1. When changing channels the showshifting buffer gets deleted(?) and I can not go back in time before the channel change. Is there a way to ix that? I tried mlbdude's advice in this thread: http://forums.freytechnologies.com/f...&threadid=5296 - I changed "seeker/clear_partials_and_unwanted_when_ir_off" from true to false, but it didn't work. 2. Showshifting is divided in to 2hr parts. When I'm watching a show that is almost at the end of the part, sgaeTV starts a new shifting buffer and I can not get back in time...Is there a solution? I think mlbdude's advice should have fixed that too (?). Thanks, Oren. |

Re: Time Shifting during channel changing?
I don't know why I'm still up at this hour...
There is no single buffer -- all shows are recorded to their own files. See this other recent thread for more info, to see if that clears it up. When you change a channel, you can't simply rewind to see what you had watched on the previous channel; you have to change back to that channel first. - Andy |

OK! Now I understand!
Every show gets it's own shifting buffer - that realy works great! I just hope the shifting buffer would not be deleted after sometime I don't go back to the last channel. Thanks Oren. |

The parts of the show you were watching stay around at least until the show is over. I can still go back to the same bits & pieces of the shows I watched while doing a couple tests for your other thread.
