Verify my folder

I know that SMM is case sensitive. I had everything working correctly then I had a new NAS and then I switched the new one with the same name but the sub folders might be different in terms of letter case.

I have tried rebuilding data base from configure in plugins and rescan from withing SMM options. All videos that don't play are from one folder.

How do I see, verify and fix case sensitive issue?

When you hit enter on a movie should show you what it is trying to play and what your import folder is.

Ok. found one that's working in that folder. Likes all lower case letters. How do I fix?

1) Change the file name within sage tv?
2) Something within SMM
3) My movies database
4) show me the answer

Ok. I think I fixed one file by have mymovies data base selet online file instead of online folder. question is how to do this in bulk or automatically?

Are your movies not in their own folders?

Yes, they are in their own folder, just something got funky when I changed nas.

Was //servername/movies/moviename/movie.mkv
then //servername/Movies/moviename/movie.mkv

just changed the old nas server to backup and the new to the name of what was the old one. but I guess I changed the case of one letter. Then somehow in trying to make it work, trying different things, that's where I'm now.

You just need the import paths and directory paths in mymovies and sagetv to match case sensitive no need to point to each file.

Where do you think the problem is?

You can create a new database in the mymovies collection manager and reimport your movies. Just make sure the case matches the sage import directory. Then rebuild the db in SMM

Sweet. That's what I did (then I read your post). Let you know how it turns out.

Hello PluckyHD,

Is your rebuild database in the plugin menu the same or different as the "update store meta-files for all titles in collection database" in the options meta data storage in mymovies collection management?
