Comcast RNG110 IEEE 1394/Firewire Windows 7 64-bit Drivers/Software

I've been googling and googling and am unable to come up with the software/drivers I need to capture the video/audio steam from the box via Firewire. I know it's possible because AVS Noodle works flawlessly with recording it, but is rather inconvenient because the only apple computers I own are an iBook G4 and a Macintosh 128k.

I have tried this package with no luck, you can see below what happens when I try to use it and it occurs when trying any of the four "Other Devices" as well.

Are these drivers incompatible or do I just need to install them a different way?

Any help in pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thank you.

Welcome to the SageTV forum!

Firewire will not work with Window 7 64-bit, since there aren't any drivers. You will need to use Windows 7 32-bit if you need firewire. Another option is to use the USB-UIRT instead of firewire to change channels on the set top boxes. You can control 3 set top boxes with one USB-UIRT. If the set top boxes have different IR channels, you can control more than 3 set top boxes with only one USB-UIRT.

Thanks for the reply, I was actually hoping to be able to capture the video via firewire. Are you saying that those drivings fail to work only because I'm using a 64-bit OS?

Yes. There are no 64 bit drivers for firewire.
