Recording extra minutes before start of program

I've noticed something really weird about the settings for recording extra minutes before the official start time of a program in an effort to not miss the first few seconds of the program. On the computer where I have SageTV installed, it only gives me the option of recording extra minutes in 15 minute intervals. If I program this via my HD300 in extender mode, however, the HD300 gives me the option of setting the interval in one minute intervals. Anyone else seeing this? Anyone know why this would be the case?

On the server, the left and right arrows adjust time by 15 minute intervals. On the HD300, the left and right arrows adjust the time by one minute intervals, even though it still says 15 minute intervals in the part you have circled.

Then there is something not right in your Commands mapping. the LEFT and RIGHT commands (which should be mapped to the left and right arrows) indeed move it 1 minute on my server. What buttons do you have mapped under Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Left and/or Right?

Left and right arrow is 1 minute increment. FF and Rew (or Page Left and Page Right) is 15 minute increments. Make sure you are pressing the correct button.

And make sure you have not re-mapped your left and right buttons to be FF and REW.

Thanks guys! You're right, I had been using the mouse to set extra minutes which goes in 15 minute intervals. When I use the arrow keys it goes in one minute intervals. These forums are really useful and there seem to be a lot of people willing to help each other out.

The mouse also changes padding by 1 minute or 15 minute increments; it all depends on which arrow you click on.
