Network encoder acting strangely
Here is the problem that I am having with my Network Encoder (V2.0). On initial startup everything is fine but after a period of time (days not hours or weeks), I begin to see problems with all files recorded on the network encoder (and not on files from the encoder local to the sever). The problems resemble macroblocking like the information is not getting across the network fast enough. At times these "errors" have been bad enough to cause a complete lockup of Sage (Or SageClient) while viewing the file. As it turns out the solution is to reboot the computer that the network encoder is running on. Note that restarting the encoder has no effect. I have not seen this kind of behavior in earlier Sage versions but my guess is that for some reason network resources being gradually diminished over time (possiblly grabbed by some other application). Rebooting the computer releases these resources. I have been able to automate the reboot for sometime late a night to mitigate any impact on currently recording shows but would like to eliminate this if possible. BTW, I am running XP home on all computers and have a netgear WGR614 router. Thanks for the help.
