Can it play HD channels? What is the battery life like?

It sure would be nice if you could do this on other tablets!

There are no lip sync issues!
Believe me I record and sync sound for TV.
Maybe the conversion of the mts file did something.

Battery is 3 hours on max power and 4 hours on battery.

What you saw was HD channel on 54g Buffalo wireless without boosted TX.
Only core works without a problem.
Arcsoft works but but not all the time.
Microsoft is unusable.

When I use placeshifter from outside it works great!

I wish it had a better video card but at this point of time we have no choice.
All the rest of the tablets Android and Ipad would not be able to pull the same playback.

In the video did it have a protective bumper on it?

It didn't look like a EP121 when he tilted it in the video.

It is the folder case that comes with it.
DO you want me to take another one?

Haha

Actually I was hoping to get it Christmas present for my wife.
Then for her birthday in January.
And next month for our 7 years anniversary.
She did not get a present for any of these.
So when It came on Monday I just said:
Mary Christmas, Happy birthday and happy anniversary honey.

You can maybe get 2 laptops.
The similar Asus is $600 with regular HHD
This was $1099 with 64gb SSD which by itself is $120
And do not forget the WACOM stylus. It is a professional device and costs a lot of money.

Wow with a price like that it is no wonder why iPad is number 1.

Now if sage could just pull its head out of its butt we could get a true app for it. Airvideo does a nice job on my movie collection just lacks in terms of presentation.

Please do not say that about Sagetv.
The Ipads hardware is as week as my 1.5 year old HTC hd2 cell phone.
We are talking about a real computer for real applications.
It is like asking VW to have the same performance as a porshe.

I am a professional that needs professional tools.
I got the EP121 for work and for Sagetv when I am on the road.
If you want a home appliance go buy an Ipad.

You get what you pay for!

I think the most important development is the Microsoft Qualcomm partnership to bring Windows 7 to Quallcom processors.
Then qualcomm processors like the Ipads snapdragon will run Windows 7.

Now not to mention that most stuff that Ipad users have to pay for I get for free.
HULU for example will run you $9 a month I believe.
Then think about buyng Tv shows from Itunes instead of just watching flash on their websites.
I do not even want to mention the lack of file system access.

Call me an old fashion but I prefer win7/linux/osx to the mobile OS.

I take it back! I might have a good use for that if they made a wall dock for it! How hot does it run! I would like to use it as a keypad for my home automation system. Very curious since I am stuck using windows

How is the screen resolution compared to say an ipad?

Absolutly silent and cool. I swear I am shocked how cool and quiet it is. Resolution is 1280x800
"12.1" LED Backlight WXGA Screen Capacitive and Electromagnetic Panel (1280*800) with AFFS"

It looks like an IPS panel to me but I am not sure.

Few years ago to buy a screenless WACOM pad only was $999.

Compared to an Ipad I find the colors to be more realistic comparable to my calibrated Panasonic V10 plasma but with a bit more saturation and brighter blacks.
IT IS NOT AS REFLECTIVE AS THE IPAD.

It comes with slick blutooth keyboard.
