Any Promotions / Incentives?

I'm a long time Snapstream Beyond TV user. I'm fed up with how slow Beyond TV is at launching and shutting down. There are also issues I've had for a long time that Snapstream never bothered to fix. Also not happy with some of the elements in its UI.

Just discovered SageTV, but the price for entry is kind of high for me.

Does SageTV have any promotions or incentives for people jumping ship from a competitor's product?

Rarely, if ever, has Sage offered a discount. They do have bundles available that save you some money.

The 21 day free trial is fully functional so you can evaluate it and then decide if you like the product or not.

I've been evaluating it for the past week and I really like it. I wish I had tried it before buying BTV.

no...
you don't...
as a previous BTV user, I can tell you:
  • SageTV v7 is really nice, I really like it, but it was only recently released...
  • SageTV V6 is only a couple years old... this was ok, but a much higher learning curve than BTV, very frustrating to set up initially... but well worth the effort...
  • SageTV v5 - no clue how this was, I was still recovering from my trial of SagetTV v4...
  • SageTV v4 - after trying to get the trial to do anything, I ended up running, screaming and crying back to the comfort of BTV... it took a long time to recover from that experience... actually I am not sure I will ever fully recover... it was horrible... I still have nightmares...

anyway, you have picked the perfect time to join SageTV now... V7 is pretty much perfect...
