Firewire recording in Vancouver

I'm desperate...is there anyone in Vancouver that has recording over Firewire from a Motorola 6200 box working?

For the life of me, I can't get it working and am not sure why. I'd even pay for someone to help...

It is a bit tedious, but I used this guide (found in the massive firewire recording thread) to get FW recording working.

SageTV Firewire Settop Box Tuner Setup.pdf

The only thing I changed from the install guide were the sage.properties file to the following (I think it was missing a line or something):

mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/available_channels=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/brightness=130
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/contrast=135
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/device_name=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/hue=125
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/last_channel=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/provider_id=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/saturation=105
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/sharpness=170
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/tuning_mode=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/tuning_plugin=
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/tuning_plugin_port=0
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/video_crossbar_index=0
mmc/encoders/12345/1/0/video_crossbar_type=10
mmc/encoders/12345/audio_capture_device_name=
mmc/encoders/12345/audio_capture_device_num=0
mmc/encoders/12345/audio_processor=
mmc/encoders/12345/capture_config=
mmc/encoders/12345/default_device_quality=DVD Standard Play
mmc/encoders/12345/encoder_merit=0
mmc/encoders/12345/encoding_host=localhost\:6969
mmc/encoders/12345/last_cross_index=0
mmc/encoders/12345/last_cross_type=10
mmc/encoders/12345/live_audio_input=
mmc/encoders/12345/never_stop_encoding=false
mmc/encoders/12345/video_capture_device_name=Firewire Tuner
mmc/encoders/12345/video_capture_device_num=0
mmc/encoders/12345/video_encoding_params=DVD Standard Play
mmc/encoders/12345/video_processor=

And, in the sgraphrecorder.ini I've found a tuning delay of 8000 gives me no recording errors.

I have sage running as a service, and I've made it dependent on SGR (also run as a service) to make sure it always loads.

Firewire works great, the only thing is that there's a small handful of HD channels that have the 5c flag set that you can't capture from.

Which line was missing from the properties file?

I see the files being created in the Sage recording directory, but Sage just doesn't play them. It just continually says "no signal".

Curiously, if I have Sage open and also Windows Explorer open at the same time while it's recording, Sage only seems to recognize it after I hit 'watch show' and then I switch to view the directory that the file is sitting in. If I never look at the directory, Sage never displays the show. Is that weird or what? Why would this be, and how can I solve for it?

I've played with the tuning delay and that doesn't seem to make a difference...
