Adding time to a recording

I have done some searching and looked thru the manual but cant find the answer I am looking for. Lets use last week when the ballgames were on cbs and screwing up all of the schedules. My favorites started a normall recording with the ball game still going on. So I thought I would try to extend the recording time of the favorites recording to get the end of the show, But I could not find any where to do that. I could not open anything up that would let me add time to it. I actually started another recording to get the end of the show. Is there a way to change this once the recording is active?
Thanks
Wayne

If you use the Record command to make it a Manual Recording, you could then use the Record command, choose to adjust the recording, and adjust the stop time.

So you are saying to hit the record menu while it is recording and tell it to a record now which becomes a manual recording and then you can change the end time?

Correct.

Or you can do it prior to the start record time. Hit record turning it into a Manual Recording instead of Favorite (for that one showing) and then you can adjust the start and end times (Recording Options).

That way if your show doesn't directly follow the ball game but you know how much time the schedule is delayed, you can adjust both start and end time to get your show without too much extra.

Or you can use SRE (Sage Recording Extender) and let it automatically extend or shorten recordings depending on the actual finish time of the game.

Unless Slugger has made some modifications to SRE since the last time I looked at it SRE only modifies the time of the game itself, it doesn't correct the times for the programs following the game...
