BMT Scan menu
Is this the plugin that installs a "BMT scan" menu item under Setup (default UI)? If so, how do I get it back (it disappeared).

I don't think there is one under Setup.
Do you mean this one? John |

There were menu options in both p laces, and neither was appearing. I finally tried in the Phoenix Core plugin configuration the "Reset plugin configuration," and that brought them both back. I still don't know what made them go away, but I'm going to try to avoid fiddling with the Phoenix configuration from now on (I was trying to adjust settings to get rid of fanart downloads because I didn't want its proliferation to fill up my drives). Maybe I'll try changing those settings one at a time to see if they banish the fanart. I would have thought setting "Fanart Enabled" to "false" would turn it off and not cause problems - but it doesn't seem to work that way - or something else went wrong in the process.

Every time I do something to try to prevent fanart from proliferating, I lose the menu entry until I reset the Phoenex config - which causes the fanart to flood back in.

Can this make "movies" into "TV"? I have a bunch of files that were dumped into "movies".

If you haven't installed the WEB Server plugin, you will need to, as BMT runs from the webserver.

I seem to remember reading that EVERY TV episode needs an episode number. For me, populating episode numbers was a task in converting movies to TV. Season number can be zero, but episode, not so much.

I got the webserver running again, had to uninstall Jetty and all the other web stuff, delete some directories, etc. Also got the web interface up again. The problem I get with doing this edit in BMT or in SageTV is it snaps back like it's on a rubber band.

Are they recordings or imported videos?

They were recordings. I'm still sorting through it.

It seems to help a lot to unimport the files and work on them as videos.
