Mixing PVR250s
I have read through many posts and I couldn't find a definitive answer on whether the heatsinked rev 15 PVR 250s can be mixed with the heatsinkless Conexant rev16 boards. That is not to say that there was a post that did answer this, I just couldn't find it. If not, are there any rev15 +Sage packages for sale out there?

They can be mixed, but many people aren't every able to get them to work together. I have a rev15 working with a rev16, but I've only managed this using the drivers that came with the type 16 card (1.16.11.2047). They work in SageTV, but if I open any of the WinTV programs, both of the cards suffer major distortion.

Just one other point of info. The mixing only seems to be a problem if both cards come from Hauppauge, or more accurating use the same driver family/settings. I use a PVR250(type15) with a Avermedia M150(type16) without any issues. Others have successfully mixed the ATI Ehome(16) with the PVR250(15). I don't know if the new type 16 Hauppauge Rosyln(conexant "Blackbird" design) cards, Frey is selling, play well with the type 15 PVRs from hauppauge or not.* Anyone tried this?
*If the Rosylns use a different driver family(should since they are blackbird cards like my M150) from the PVR250s then they should mix OK. I hope Hauppauge isn't reusing the same registry settings even if they use different driver families. Oh well, enough speculation. Time will tell.
