Problem updating OTA channels for new EPG configuration
So I've been noticing the system message warnings "Channel Lineup Lost from EPG Server" for a while, but had been out of town for a few months, and then was only home for a week and didn't have time to really look into it at the time. I've got two OTA tuners and two HD-PVRs. Everything seemed to still be working fine for the week I was back home so I just ignored it. Then this past week I was out of town again and now that I'm home I'm getting "No Signal" messages for all of my OTA channels.
I read through the thread on the EPG reconfiguration and I tried to do that by changing my lineups to the new "Digital - <zip code>" lineups under the cable/satellite option, but when I let it go through the full channel scan it's giving me the message "The channel scan found 0 tunable channels. There were no channel changes in the scan." So for the time being I'm left w/ no working OTA channels. (Curiously, my guide still shows all of the guide data for quite a few local OTA channels. I don't know if they're just leftover from before I tried to make the change maybe? Although there are tons of local digital OTA channels showing up in my guide now that I've never had in the guide before. I guess I'm assuming those are all just getting populated automatically based on the zip code I put in when setting up the new EPG?) I suppose it could just be a coincidence and my antenna is going haywire at the same time that I was getting all the system warnings about the Channel Lineup being lost for the EPG, but it seems like it might be related. Any debug suggestions? Thanks! |

I think thats somewhat obsolete information. If you've updated to the more recent versions of sage, then the process for adding the source is pretty straight forward (meaning, tell it you are using an antenna). You will need to remove the OTA sources, and start from scratch on it.

That thread was to deal with the situation that was in place at the time. Zap2It's information had changed, and sage hadn't gotten an update out yet to deal with it. The later updates to sage has made the 'strange' steps of choosing cable for OTA unneeded. If you have an updated version of sage, follow the prompts as would be appropriate.

I would... go grab the 7.1.7 beta from the beta section of the forums, and set it up 'normal'. there are many other good improvements in the 7.1 betas.
