Apparent Bug - Background recording and Overlay

Hi - I have discovered a problem in how the overlay mixer is handled when recording in the background in very specific circumstances. If I start a recording in the background, then use other software to playback an MPEG file or DVD, everything works fine and filtergraph indicates I am using the overlay mixer pin connected to the video renderer for playback.

However, if I start a recording, open "preview", close "preview" and then try to use other software for playback, that playback is not able to use the overlay mixer. If I stop the recording in SageRecorder then it appears the overlay mixer is released at that point and I can use other playback software. This works even if I begin recording again, as long as I don't open "preview". Once "preview" has been opened, the only way I can find to free the overlay mixer is to stop recording. Note I do not have to close SagreRecorder, only stop the current recording.

I believe this is a bug and the overlay mixer should be released when not previewing at all times.

I forgot to mention that this is true regardless whether "default (Uses VMR on XP)" or Overlay is checked.
