Digital switchover in the UK

I'm just reading this thread :

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56465

and didn't want to hijack it....

I see Crystal Palace isn't due to switch til next year and I'm not sure what state Sage support will be in by then. How easy is it to use ScanChannelsBDA to find the correct entries for the tuner files ?

Thanks

Hi there,

Just thought I would let you know that I've managed to solve my problem and have posted what I did on the original thread. I used ScanChannelsDBA as part of the process to get an updated file of tuning data and this was fairly straight forward.

Thanks,
Martin

Even with no Sage support, it's only a case of configuring frequencies, we'll manage.

Does Sage support DVB-T2? If so which cards / tuners work? We don't get our switch over till the end of the year but I'm now starting to think about what do to so I can get some HD channels.

This has been reported working :

http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52085

I was hoping for BGT3595 support but it never came in time...

So, am I right in saying, as long as Sage recognises the tuner, we can use ScanChannelsBDA to get the correct tuning info ?
