Every item is the same fan art....

Well, in bmt today, just updating some metadata that wasn't found. Now all of the imported files use the fanart for "Deep Blue Sea", as a poster, and some unidentifiable background from a tv show.

Is this the way it's designed? Go into bmt to update the fan art for a couple of items and wind up with a useless interface? The titles and descriptions are still the same as they were, but the fanart has defaulted to a collection of random images.

Strange...

This happened on the client and the server, but the server was fixed by deleting the implort path and re-scanning it. The same method did not work with the client.

The files look fine in bmt. Correct information/data and fanart, although strangely they show up as missing metadata. It doesn't seem to matter how often I re-search for the fanart/metadata they continue to show this way.

Here's a clue though, this behaviour only seems to occur with my video import directory, not with recorded movie files...so it is something to do with the import paths...

<hopefully, you've all seen this and it'll be a simple fix on the client...

Thanks

If it was fixed on the server but not working on the extender reboot the server that happened to me once and that fixed it on the extender also. If that does not work and you have the web server installed look at in with BMT. I just had to do that this week for a few shows. If your running diamond goto setup/diamond and delete the cache files and let it do a rescan. This has happened to me several times and I'm not sure what causes it to happen.

Tried it...

Yeah, I've done all that, but it seems very dependant on the order that you do it in...very weird. You'd think the client and server machines would treat the same info. in the same way...

I'm gonna try removing some plugins again like phoenix and diamond and deleting the cache and rebuilding it once the process is done.

It's a shame because I really have the server looking awesome, but the main tv is the client, and it looks dumb...lol...

Thanks

do you see the correct fanart when you list the files in the bmt web ui? I'm not sure this is a bmt issue?

Fanart

Yes, actually I do see the correct fanart in BMT.

Removed the plugins, and re-installed them on the client, and now their's no fanart at all...grrr...

Should the plugin point to the fanart folder on the server or should the client have it's own local fanart folder?

Confusing...

Typically each fanart plugin has a configuration to set the fanart location. If not, then on the client, you can set the fanart location location using the settings in the phoenix-core plugin. But first, depending on which plugin you are using for the fanart, I'd try the plugin configuration first.

I only use the Phoenix UI and I only run it on extenders, so I never have to change the fanart folder settings.
