Newbie Questions
In Sage under the Audio Section of Detailed Setup it says MPEG2 Audio Decoder Filter. I currently have this set to the Sonic Decoder. The audio Renderer is set to the Envoy Family Audio (WDM)
In the DVD section is the DVD Audio Decoder Filter which I also have set to Sonic. The audio Renderer here is also set to Envoy Family Audio (WDM) Now to the problem. For some xvid files it plays fine. For others the audio stutters terribly. On the ones that stutter, GSPOT says the audio Codec Stream is "0x0055(MP3) ID'd as MPEG-1 Layer 3". Gspot says that when this file is being played that it is using the Moonlight Odio Dekoda as the Audio Decoder and Default DirectSound Device as the Audio Renderer. For the Xvid files that it plays fine for it is using the ac3 "(0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc" audio Codec Stream. The Audio Decoder is AC3filter. The Audio Renderer is Default DirectSound Device. Not sure what to do to make it quit stuttering. Please help? Edit: I should note that it plays fine in Windows Media Player. Last edited by jettman; 06-01-2004 at 09:01 PM. |

The audio setings in Sage have no effect on playback of non MPEG/DVD files, that's up to directshow. Which audio decoder gets used in Windows Media Player?

Windows Media Player is using the moonlight audio dekoder. Plays fine with media player. Not with Sage. Must be a sage problem with the moonlight audio dekoder.
i uninstalled the moonlight audio dekoder and now it works fine. |
