Sagetv V7 unable to scan channels while HD homerun config reports no issues?

SageTV v 7_1_9(binary) is unable to scan the channels successfully. It is not able to find any channels. The Silicondust HD Homerun configuration looks fine. In fact, HD homerun Quicktv works fine for all the channels. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the HDHomerun software, updating the tuner firmware, uninstalling and reinstalling the SageTV software, disabling windows firewall etc but still have the same issue. What else should I try? Would love to get this working again.
Thanks!

Are the channels clear QAM or OTA? What OS are you using? Since you imply you had it running at one point, what changed since it was running?

Sorry for not being specific.
These are OTA channels.
I am running Win7 Ult. My motherboard (older core2 processor) failed so I decided to switch to the Core i5 2400s and DH67CF motherboard with appropriate (4G) memory. What changed since I had it running are is the processor, motherboard and memory (a big chunk of core hardware) but everything about the software is the same and the backend (tuners, network etc).

I just finished installing all the win 7 updates and retried rescanning. No luck yet. Any thoughts?

Looks like someone else had a similar problem. Another software (HDHOmerun) is able to scan just fine, so this appears to be a sagetv related issue. Don't have the luxury to spend several more hours debugging this as this has already depleted time.
DOn't want to give up sagetv yet.

Was just getting ready to give up on SageTV for good, list the extender on sale and say goodbye and then then came customer service. I want to thank George from Sagetv/Google for taking the time to help me out. Here was his response and he nailed it.

"For the HDHR on Windows. Have you followed these directions for
installing the HDHR in Sage?
http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun...uctions/sagetv

You have to pick SageTV in the application for the HDHR and perform a
scan there and most importantly you have to hit apply. You do this
with SageTV installed but not running. When you hit apply it will put
the .scn files in the SageTV directory"

The key point was to pick sagetv in HDHR app, scan, save and then restart sagetv and rescan. Still some more minor playback issues remain, but over the big hurdle and Sage remains in my setup. Kudos to George

I'm having a similar problem. I'm only having a problem with a couple of channels though. It seems HDHR tunes all the OTA stations but a couple won't tune in consistently in Sage.

I have my HDHR application setting to "other/remap" or something like that to help me with my custom channel mapping. Maybe I'll try setting it to "sagetv" and see if that helps.

For OTA broadcasts, you shouldn't have to do the scan in the HDHR app. You can do the scan directly from SageTV - AFTER you have selected SageTV in the HDHR app.
