Newbie question, video plays only on pc!
Hello,
Hope this post is not redundant! My sagetv displays video on the pc screen, but not on my tv screen. I am able to use the remote/gui to move around the sagetv menue's, but I have not yet seen any video. I did try selecting diffrent video types (i.e. mpeg, avi) but all I get is a black screen and the video time counter. Many thanks for any and all assistance! : ) For completeness the system details are below. Pentium 3 800 512 pvr - 350 sagetv 2.0 mike kennma1@hotmail.com |

What are you using to feed the video to your TV. PVR350's output or your videocard's RCA/composite output? I'm guessing you're using the output of your 350 since you have one. If so did you try watching a show that is currently being recorded*. The reason I ask is that the 350's output doesn't support AVIs, Mpeg1, etc only Mpeg2. But any recording made by the 350 should show up on your 350 output. Also make sure your 350's drivers are up to date.
If yout using your videocard try switching from overlay to VMR9. Depending on how you have your Windows desktop setup some cards don't feed a video signal out the videocard's TV jack. *Go to Main Menu>LiveTV Guide> and select any currently airing show. If a submenu pops up select "watch now".
