Any thoughts woudl be great, thanks!
Check all the boxes that the user guide says to check and nothing more/less; nothing is different when using Schedules Direct.

As for the no data issue, in the plugin dir (...\SageTV\plugins\mc2xmlepg\<lineup>\) check the xmltv.xml file. Is there data for these channels in that file? If not, then it's a lineup issue with your SD account. If so, then it's an issue with the plugin (either a bug or a misconfiguration). This is where to start then we can narrow the issue down and go from there.

Should be ~14 days worth of data... start by checking the xmltv.xml file - that's the raw data downloaded by mc2xml. Whatever shows up in that file should show up in your EPG.

Yup, don't try to load the xml file via a browser or anything that validates the DTD, just open it in notepad or your favourite plain text editor. Notepad may be sluggish depending on the size of the file (I see this behaviour and my file is typically 50MB). There are better text editors than notepad and depending on the size of the file, you may need to find one.

I'm seeing this in my EPG.log files when doign a forced epg refresh from the mc2xml plugin.

there are some failures in there.

So I checked the xmltv.xml file and here is the last entry. Date looks to coincide with the guide dat of 9-14 being were it's up dated to.

<programme start="20120914190000 -0400" stop="20120914210000 -0400" channel="I924.66379.tmsdatadirect.com">
<title lang="en">College Soccer</title>
<sub-title lang="en">St. John's at Akron</sub-title>
<category lang="en">Soccer</category>
<category lang="en">Sports event</category>
<episode-num system="dd_progid">SP00267121.0000</episode-num>
<new />
</programme>

So does the mean I'm not getting 14 dayss worth from SD?

thanks for the help

If you have the sagetv web interface installed, you can use it to easily validate the 14 days of the guide data.

Well I dont use the web interface but I did set my hd homeruns to use SD and my HDpvr to use Microsoft legacy and the HDpvr gets 14days and the hd homeruns get just about 7 days.

So does that mean that SD is only giving me 7 days worth, or is taht all I'm downloading..

I'm kind of stuck now, not sure where to go from here?

Thanks

Are the hd homeruns OTA? My OTA are day to day, not even 7 using schedule direct.

Not sure, but looks like the issue may be in locating mc2xml.exe program.

Yup, you need to install mc2xml in a dir on your system path (typically C:\Program Files\Windows\System32\) or update the plugin settings, the former being much easier. Because mc2xml is not being found, the plugin is simply reusing the same data you downloaded originally when you installed the plugin, which is why you don't appear to be getting 14 days worth of data.

After you copy mc2xml to the dir above, you should be able to open a command prompt and from any directory you should be able to run mc2xml and the program will fire. Only when that works will the plugin be able to find mc2xml and download the the listings.

I do have it in my c:\windows\system32 and c:\windows directory.

then I go to the 2 line up directories and run the mc2xml from there, since it needs the mc2xml.dat file that was created on the first run.

am I correct in the way I'm doing it?

What you describe is correct, but for some reason Sage is not seeing it. So, you'll need to configure the plugin and explicitly point the plugin to the location of the mc2xml executable. Once you do that, it should be good to go.

I've definitely done that. I know that since my hdpvr is getting 14 days worth using "Microsoft legacy".

I just checked the SD schedule for my home runs and they are 7 days out. So they are definitely getting 7 days worth.

Odd.

Check the xmltv.xml file in the lineup dir for your HDHRs...

First, check that the timestamp on the file is less than 24 hours old. If it's older than that then mc2xml is not refreshing it on each EPG update. If it is less than 24 hours old and it only contains 7 days worth of data then that's all that SD has available for that lineup. If that's the case then there's nothing else to be done, other than maybe bug SD to see if there's a reason for only 7 days worth for OTA lineups.

Exclamation HELP! Setup can't seem to see my EPG Plugin?

I downloaded mc2xml, set it up for Schedules Direct, installed the Plugin and restarted my server, but it can't seem to see my new lineup. I setup the properties file, etc. but nada. I only see the same 3 choices for guide data, XMLTV, TVTV and no guide. Should I be seeing the Plugin here too or my new lineup? If I choose XMLTV, it asks for my Postal Code again. Somehow the Plugin does not appear to be seen, although it's enabled and configured.

The weird thing is that my preview channels in my source setup have the new channel numbers. I get the feeling I'm missing something obvious here.
