Not yet, but MS never updates their guide data on weekends. Looking forward to what Monday brings.

I started a copy of Windows Media Center and it shows Guide data past the 19th. If XML is using the same download, shouldn't it have data past the 19th?

It may depend on which version of Windows MC you use. Win 7 uses a new service while older windows versions use what is referred to as the "legacy service".

The legacy service is used by the mc2xml plugin.

I ran mc2xml via command line earlier this afternoon and got the no new data message for the legacy query.

I just saw a note that mc2xml has been updated to v1.2.
http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/th...n-2012.105341/

I found another thread that says mc2xml has a built in experation date:
http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/th...g.85577/page-3

I am currently using v1.0. I have not had a chance to test, but I am wondering if this is the cause of the problem?

I used mc2xml.exe on a pc at work just now and it downloaded guide data thru the 29th.

Have not tried in SageTV yet but suspect all will be OK now.

Still no guide data beyond 4/19 as of 12:05 pm Eastern Daylight time in NYC. Fortunately I kept a backup Sage directory before installing the mc2Xml plugin, so until this is resolved, I'm switching back to Sage's epg service.

did I read somewhere that the original owners of Sage had delayed the phase-out of the native EPG until the end of 2012?
If not, then mc2xml is the way to go it seems, correct?

I wonder if with the upcoming release of windows 8... If the legacy guide which this plugin uses will go away? I know windows 7 does not use the legacy guide.

Confirmed. Mine is working now also.

Does anyone know the difference between V1.0 and V1.2 of mc2xml. Should we be upgrading?

They've not said it's ending the end of 2012, but that it won't end before the end of 2012. May run longer.... have to wait and see.

There are so many earlier versions of Windows MC out there that it's hard for me to see it ending anytime soon. I don't think it costs MS more to do two guides as the data is acquired from the same place for the Win 7 guide and the legacy guide, it's just formatted differently (i.e. the Win 7 guide data has links to thumbnails/cover art within the guide data).

mc2xml.exe also supports getting guide data from Schedules Direct, a $25 annual subscription service that lots of HTPC users access for their guide data.

Just checked and I'm running ver 1.1 and that works fine - let us know if you try ver 1.2.

Looks like the Program Guide is now stuck on the 29th.

Anyone else having the same problem? Again?

I just requested a manual update and it looks like it is being updated.

I wonder why I needed to do a manual update.

Microsoft has been having problems with their guide data lately...you have to live with it for now if you are using this plugin. Or they might have set it to 7 days that is all I have in WMC 7 too.

Currently I have 1 main lineup.

c:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\plugins\mc2xmlepg\comcastfull (over 200 channels)
with the lineup properties
id=1000
name=Portland Comcast (Digital).

I would like to add 2 lineups for HDHOMERUN QAM. And WINTVHVR1600.. they would all use the same XML just different # of channels enabled. Currently I just copy over the lineups.

can i just add to the properties like this.
id=1000
name=Portland Comcast (Digital)
id=2000
name=Portland Comcast (HDHOMERUN)
id=3000
name=Portland Comcast (WINTVHVR1600)

Or do I have to add folders. and create a new property file for each folder

c:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\plugins\mc2xmlepg\HDHOMERUN
with the lineup properties
id=2000
name=Portland Comcast (HDHOMERUN).

c:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\plugins\mc2xmlepg\WINTVHVR1600
with the lineup properties
id=3000
name=Portland Comcast (WINTVHVR1600).
