Pioneer Serial Port Protocol

Hello all from a newb sagetv user(soon to be havent installed all my newly purchased bits yet). Just wondering if any of you have had any problems w/ bad aspect ratio settings on your Pioneer HD Cable box from timewarner.

I accidentaly disabled 480i and now I have lost the settings menu alltogether on any output but the overscanning component output. Time warner has no clue what to do, and now I have to schedule a repair visit (which I have very litlte time to wait for now). Whist trying to find ways to get into the diagnostic menus, I came across what I think is their serial port protocol, hoping it could be of use to those who may know how to enable/code a controlling profile for it.
