AT&T U-verse and Hauppauge Cards

I think I know the answer to this, but will my Hauppauge tuner cards work with AT&T U-verse?

Yes, I have Uverse. I have Hauppauge 1600, 1800 and HD PVR. The Uverse boxes can output to s-video, cable or component.

Since you have multiple cards... you split the signal from the Uverse box to run it into each card? And the cards can tune the station just like they can from a regular cable signal? Do you use an extender to view on your TV?

I have PVR-500. Would it work as well?

Thanks for your help.

He means that he can use the svideo or something else on the u-verse box to record the signal. You can't use the built in tuners to tune uverse. Their service doesn't work like cable or verizon.

Unfortunately, uverse only allows one output per box (think of them as a digital cable box, each box can only tune one channel at a time). I have three Uverse boxes, one for each card. I use the OTA input on the cards for a total of six captures.

Just found out that for $5 more than the price of my DSL+home phone, I can get uverse. I was planning on terminating DirecTV on Thursday anyhow as I now have two Roku's with Netflix & HuluPlus, in addition to 3 OTA tuners feeding SageTV. But, I have a Hauppauge HD-PVR currently receiving D* via component, if its simple and $5/month for me to get uverse and still get Bravo, SyFy, and USA, I could just do that. Assuming I could feed the HD-PVR with the uverse component output.

Any of you guys (or others) happy or unhappy with uverse?

Will wait until the end of week to make a decision, in case Google TV shows something amazing.
