jagged lines during action

Hi all,
When watching Hockey (but happens wiht other shows as well) sometimes all the players will become all jagged lines. Their sticks will especially become jagged lines. After about 30 seconds or so the lines will clear up and the screen become crystal clear once again.

Back in the days when I used a software client running on a PC attached to my TV this problem would be solved by using a different rendering engine such as the NVidia. Also I remember something about de interlacing...But these days I am using hardware extenders so I don't know if those settings are applicable any more.

My set up is...
SageTV server 7.1.5.252
Java version 1.6.0.07
Heap size 223used/276total/400max

I have three extenders two 100HD series and a 300series. I do not watch from my server itself.

I have two SD Hauppauge capture cards (hooked to SDSTBs), a HD PVR, and a HDHR dual.

oh yeah...
MPeg2 Video Decoder Filter is the SageTV MPEG Vid Decoder
SageTV MPEG Video Decoder uses DXVA is NO
H.264 video decoder fileter is Default
media Player for non-Mpeg files is Direct Show

Do any of these affect an HD extender?
The source is the Hauppauge HD DVR.

The extenders do their decoding in hardware. So video decoders on the server don't matter. Make sure in Placeshifter/Extender options in Detailed Setup you have it set for high resolution on your server.
