Can I connect HD200 directly to my server?

The problem is that I only have access to a wireless network, but the server computer with Media Center is connected via wireless. The ethernet card on the server computer isn't being used for anything and I was wondering if there's a may to connect the HD200 through ethernet and use ICS somehow? The LAN connection is recognized on the server computer but it doesn't have a valid IP. The IPv4 Connectivity says "No Internet Connection" and IPv6 connectivity says "No Network Connection."

The connection is listed in connection the control panel as "unidentified network." Is there a way to merge this connection to my wireless network somehow? I'm using Windows 7 Pro.

It just took awhile for the network location to get picked up. Works fine now.

You could probably use a crossover ethernet cable.

This removes the need for a router between two computers.

Thanks, I might try that although the regular ethernet seems to work. Maybe the Windows 7 networking does the crossover itself.
