Popcorn MKV audio converter, DTS -> AC3

Anyone else using this so that your mkv files have audio on the extenders?

There is one thing that has me confused, if there is an mkv file with DTS audio, and one converts the audio to AC3 and muxes it back into the mkv (retaining the original DTS), why is it so difficult to get the DTS audio track as the first audio track, with AC3 as the second?

I would think this is some kind of switch in the file that could be changed easily without demux/mux, but apparently not?

I use Popcorn all the time and I have never discovered an option to make the DTS track first.

Personally, I prefer to have the DD track first because if I happen to play the file on an HD200 I don't have to switch tracks. Also, I don't have a receiver at every TV so when you play a DTS track with an HD300 is is converting it to DD for you (unless you are sending the audio to a receiver).

The only way that I know of to make the DTS track first is to remix the video and assign the DTS track as the first track with the default flag. I would recommend using mkvmerge GUI (mmg.exe) located under the MKVToolnix folder in Popcorn.

Thanks, Will. I think I'll probably just leave it the way it is. It's a pretty good tool.
