Sawzall & 4&1/2" hole saw for SageTV Server?
Final Server mod's completed. But not to the actual Server! It's sitting under my right hand computer station desk (oak double desk with corner setup) However, the Server wouldn't go far enough back under without hitting the desk upper cross brace or taking off the wheels (mini server case with wheels). Attack of the sawzall to cut 1" path in the desk cross bar. Server nice and cozy now! Also under the desk is the 1500VA with extra bat pack. Server with 4tuners and 8HDs and large UPS generates some heat down thar! Hence the 4&1/2" hole saw to cut a hole to mount a AC 120mm fan in the desk side in the back at the top. (also used a ceiling fan dimmer so I can control the 100cfm screamer, running it about 1/2 power) Much cooler under and around the desk now!
Now I can switch focus to really tweaking the Client for optimum video quality and play with some of those custom STVs!

What fan did you use and are you happy with it? I've been thinking of mounting a fan or two in the entertainment center where my client lives, since it's behind a glass door and things get rather warm.

I went the larger suspecting I wouldn't need full power and hence cutting back rmp cuts back noise and still provides very good airlflow. Yes, I'm happy with it.
