Movies with the same name

Is it possible for Diamond to distinguish between movies of the same name relative to the display of fanart. For example, the following two movies

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2009)
The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo (2011)

show up in all movie views with the same fanart (from the 2009 version). Batch Metadata Tools have these movies and their respective fanart distinguished properly. SageTV itself, in its Video\Titles list, shows the proper fanart for each movie. However, I cannot get Diamond to do the same.

Anyone have and idea? Thanks in advance.

I'm just making a guess here...

When you look at the metadata in BMT, you should see two entries, one with the 2009 fanart and one with the 2011 fanart. Based on what you're describing, I think you'll see that the "Fanart Title" has the year in the title, while the "Movie title" will not. If you edit movie title to include the year, I'm pretty sure Diamond will list them separately.

This happens to me with TV shows fairly often.

Great guess! You're the Man!

It was the other way around, but just putting the year in the fanart title did the trick, i suppose because I have Diamond set to use the movie folder fanart.

Glad to hear it worked for you!

I have a related problem with the show "Being Human". If I don't make the fanart title "Being Human (US)" it will pull up the fanart for the UK version. I ended up editing the mediatitles.xml file to fix this.
