In standalone mode or in 'connected-to-server' mode?
In 'connected-to-server' mode, it is the server that should dish up the stream, and unfortunately SageTV does not support RTSP streams. It is possible to roll your own RTSP client, save the stream to a temp file and pass that file to the HD300. It will work like a sliding window - you just use the file as a buffer. I'm doing this for a ShoutCast NetRadio plugin I wrote a few years back, and it works nicely on all extenders - just remember to buffer at least one MB before passing the filehandle to the client. The NaviX plugin I wrote supports RTSP but Sage will not do it OOTB.

RTSP plugin for squeezecenter
Not sure if is still available/working but the AlienBBC plugin for Squeezecenter adds RTSP to any squeezebox receiver connected including my SageTV Squeezeslave plugin
