Freesat BBC HD and BBC1 HD frq settings

Does anyone have working frq entries for BBC1 HD and BBC HD on Freesat?

I noticed mine had stopped working earlier today and found it mentioned here that the rec_rate changed on 27th September.

I changed the fec_rate_in from 9 to 2 but they still don't work and a channel scan doesn't pick up them up either.

You have a NOVA-HD-DVBS2 so you need to change the registry as well, (just bought two TBS 6984, and hopefully I will sell my 4 NOVA-HD-DVBS2 and move on)

Open the registry and look for "hcw88bda" key, you'll find the "10847000" key with the "modulation" parameter that must be set to "32" decimal as well as the "fec_inner" to 2

Thanks, that did the trick

I don't know if I'd done it in the past or not, I've reinstalled drivers quite a few times and slept quite a lot since I last changed anything.

I'll print this off and put in my tweaks folder so hopefully I won't forget next time.

Thanks again.

You're welcome.

As you have the Hauppauge Nova HD DVBS2 you must have done this tweak before as there is no ways to watch DVB-S2 channels with SageTV or MCE without that registry settings.

Just in case you have to re-install the system in the future, you can find in attachment the original software from Hauppauge that will "prepare" your registry for the right settings that of course you'll have to change accordingly, along with another document that will explain how to interpret the modulation bit mask.

Are there any people with a FloppyDTV card that are still succesfully receiving the HD channels from the BBC?

I haven't been able to watch them ever since they changed the symbol rate to 23000...

You can probably add that symbol rate (not that unusual) via registry setting in the same way you have to do that for the Hauppauge NOVA HD DVB-S2. I personally would explore that possibility.

Thx Eddy,

I am not really an expert on registry settings, but I'll see what information I can find on the web..
