Can you launch a server as a Client?

Did I read that you can put "-Client" on a applications's properties and a Server will launch as a Client?

Thanks for any info.

from the manual, Appendix D: SageTV Command Line Parameters

-client
For SageTV only: starts SageTV in client mode; often used when configuring a second full installation of SageTV as a network encoder. See Appendix G: Network Encoding.

Thank you.

I assume it can be permanently run as a Client? Licenses not always so easy to get now. May just buy another Server license.

I have 4 SageTV servers. The server in the living room is also a client that connects to the other 3. I use EventGhost, USB-UIRT and HD200 remote to control the living room server/client. I have service mode running to record on the living room server and load the GUI with the correct parameters to connect to the 4 servers. Been doing that for a couple of years now. Before I got EventGhost I had 4 icons on the desktop and would use a mouse to click on the icon labeled for the server I wanted to connect to. One icon was just the default parameters to connect to the service mode instance on the same server. The other icons had the -client and server name parameters loaded. In EventGhost now I launch SageTV in a similar manor but I'm using the menu EventGhost plugin to display a menu of options to choose from. 4 of those options are to connect to the 4 servers. But I also have options to turn off the TV and receiver, sleep pc, reboot pc and shutdown pc.
