Recording won't play in Placeshifter

i recorded a football game today in HD using the HD Homerun tuner, and when I select it to play in Placeshifter (via the internet) it gives me the timeline and them immediately reverts to the selection screen.

The sequence is.. 1) engage PS and move to recordings screen. 2)Select NFL Football recordings, and the desired recording is shown as one of two available. 3)I select the recording I want and 4) get the desired recording screen. 5) double click it, and 6)select 'Watch Now'. The green timeline with Comskip marks appears below with the recording time. A second or two later, the timeline disappears and I'm back at 4).


I can watch live tv on the same channel using the HDHR, and other recordings from the same channel and HDHR via Placeshifter.

If I VNC into the server, I can call up Sage and select the recording to view. It doesn't display the video, but the timeline stays on screen for the normal amount of time and increments. If I click the screen area, the timeline returns. I'm assuming that if I were at home I could view it just fine.

The recording is a 25mb .mpg file. Is there a file size limit for playback of recordings via Placeshifter?

If all files and file types playback fine via placeshifter except for this one file, I'd suspect something that recording might be corrupted in a way which prevents playback via the sageTV transcoder.

If that recording is absolutely irreplaceable; and, you're certain you dont have any problems playing other similar recordings, then you can try repairing the media file using either Mpeg2Repair or VideoRedo.
