USBUIRT sends multiple key presses to Motorola Cable Box
I was hoping someone could help me with a problem I am having. I am trying to tune my digital cable channels with USBUIRT and am having a horrible time correcting something. When I set up sage to send my cable box IR signals via USBUIRT it always sends multiples of that key press (ie. when I try to tune HBO at 201 it will send 22, then 00, then 11) leaving me on channel 11. I have tried to adjust the wait times to no avail. I have a Motorola cable box (it is a DTC2000 series but wont accept serial input) and am using a MX500 to control it. I had noticed that the Motorola remote sends multiple signals from it so I programmed the MX500 to with short taps for the numbers 0-9 thinking that might have corrected the problem. However, when i then try to reprogram the keys within the Sage setup it keeps giving me an error....that it cannot read the it code. I have also tried to look at the .IR file and make sense of the numbers hoping to adjust the wait times within the file itself, but I cannot figure out the numbers withing the file. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me....I love Sage and would hate for this limitation to ruin my, so far, great experience with it. Thank You.

Same issue suddenly
I am experiencing the exact same problem described in the previous post. Out of the blue 3 presses per button attempting to tune. I don't use the USBUIRT to receive anything only to transmit on the server.
Was there ever a fix for this?? I'm running the latest version of SageMC, Java and the firmware and driver on the USBUIRT site. Thanks |

In Sage folder there is a folder which contains the IR remote codes.
Open your IR file in notepad and edit this line "RepeatCount 5", it should be the third line. |

Same thing?
JerryT,
I edited the MotorolaDCT2000.ir file under the ~\program files\Sagetv\common\remotecodes\USB-UIRT Transceiver directory with RepeatCount 5 setting and it's doing the same thing. When I tune through the guide or enter the desired channel through the keypad it sends each number three times ie. select channel 5 from the guide and it sends 000555. The RepeatCount setting was on the second line of my file although I doubt that much matters. |

Lower the repeat count to 1 or 2.

JerryT,
Changed it 2 and I'm back in business. Don't know why the sudden change but appreciate all the help. HittR |

When I had cable TV, I found a repeat count of 10 worked best for me using the Motorola DCT2000. Here's the first two lines of my IR file:
MotorolaDCT2000 37616 411 3 600 1000 RepeatCount 10 Dave |

I had this problem immediately after upgrading to the newest release. I got so frustrated, I forced myself to figure out firewire. Much more accurate.
