I am trying to run this tofix my sage services plug-in and receive this when running it.

I haven't come across this myself, but I haven't run this for some time. I just tried the link that you shared in the error and it work, so there must something wrong in the tool is that it needs to handle the url differently. I'm not sure exactly, but I'll see if I can reproduce it later.

If not, then use download and use it, and MAKE SURE that you DON'T have "SageTV.COM Offline" checked.

I just tried this locally and it worked fine.

EDIT: Keep in mind that if you run your sagetv as a service, then you'll need to stop it, and you'll to this as the same user as the sagetv service or else I windows won't actually update the files (it will pretend to) -- something to do with a windows virtual store i think (I'm not a windows user)

Looks like you found a bug in how the updater temporarily creates the download file

It's been a while since I used it, but trying to run this tool to Phoenix working again after a few years away from sagetv.

The process stops after a checksum mismatch.

It seems like the sourceforge links are downloading the redirect page, not the actual zip files, as they are 1k in size I was able to manually download the proper zip, over write the 1k zip in the pluginstmp folder, and it worked...

Only to break on the very next sourceforge link. Of course doing this repeatedly defeats the purpose of having an automated tool, so I didn't pursue it beyond the 2nd iteration.

Not sure if anyone cares enough to investigate or update the tool, but I figured I'd at least share...

Trying to rebuild my Phoenix too. Messed it up royally a couple of years ago and didn't want to mess it further trying to fix it.

unfortunately, I don't think the tool is going to get any love

Something you can try is to setup a new sagetv instance and configure it, and then copy over the old Wiz.bin once you are done. It's not ideal
