Sync System Clock way off?

On my new install of v2, i set "Sync System Clock with SageTV Server" to Enabled, assuming this keeps time accurate with a standardized SageTV clock. My recordings seemed to cut off early in last night's overnight recordings, so I went to NIST (the gov't time standard) and downloaded the latest TCP Time Client.

Turns out that the clocks were 29 seconds off from Sage's own timepiece. (Two days ago, my clock was perfectly synchronized to NIST, so it had to be the Sage Sync which changed it.)

Anybody know how SageTV time is kept? Anyone else have similar time issues synching with Sage enabled?

Probably going to stick with NISTIME running here, but wanted to know others' latency experiences.
