Linux (Fedora 17) Overlay Upside-Down

Yes that's right. When I start placeshifter in linux and select the server from the "Servers Management" window the interface loads as expected but the menu is upside-down and reversed. So isn't the video playback. And there is no audio.

Anybody run into this before??
