Harmony One remote problems
Ok, I have a Harmony One and tried choosing Sage and Media Center PC, or whatever the suggestion was from the Logitech software, and with a USB-UIRT I see it flash but no movement in Sage. If I choose SageTV and use an HD-300, I also get no response within Sage.
Right now I don't have my remote working on the new build at all. I thought choosing the "Sage" option under media center pc was supposed to enable it to just work? |

go into your myharmony.com account and remove that sagetv device. Oh and use the myharmony.com site instead of the software that came on the cd. Its useless for the newer remotes. instead search for:
"SageTV STX-HD100" This works flawlessly with all versions of sage software and extenders I use. In sagetv your gonna have to tell it to use the usb-uirt in detailed settings> commands menu. Then you'll probably have to setup every button using the remote learning part of that same menu(If I remember correctly). |

Several people commented (or it sounded like they commented) they just chose either an HD200 or HD300 or that Sage one rather than SageTV and the remote just worked (no programming). IF that was true, ya, I'm not seeing it as it looks like I have to program every command as you say. I was hoping there was something automatic I was missing as was implied in other posts. I probably should NOT ever configure as a WMC remote if someone suggests it as WMC is installed on this machine.

I've used my Harmony One by selecting under media devices: SageTV HD100
All Sage boxes whether the HD100, HD200, or HD300 use the same IR codes. No additional programming of codes was needed. Just worked. Edit: You also could use hauppauge MediaMVP as well since all of the Sage boxes also are setup to use the commands from the old MediaMVP's

I've tried all the remote layouts they have in the harmony DB, I even submitted some back in the day. Just about every one works great with sagetv, but the STX-HD100 gave me the least trouble with button mappings and had the best layout IMO. The mvp ones will work, but they are limited to the 34 buttons on the mvp remote (not like your really going to use more than about 6 buttons most of the time anyways). I like the way the device is layed out too. Instead of it saying "Media Center PC - SageTV" It says "SageTV STX-HD100." Which is less confising to me as I already have a device listed as "Media Center PC" to control something else.
