Sage Guide Help

Ok, I just got sage, and I am still trying to figure out the guide, I kinda em' getting the hang of it,

but I can't seem to figure out how to pull up the menu that comes up when you right click, but only with the remote???...what buttons do I use??

The menue give the following options:
cancel
detailed info
main menu
sagetv recordings
live tv guide
recording schedule
close file
aspect ration mode :
toggle full screen

My other problem is when viewing the live tv guide, on the current hour, some times when I highlight a show, & press ok, it will tune in that channel, and sometimes it will pull up another menu, asking if I want to tune it, etc...how do I know which one its going to do???

Thanks, cc

You need a button on the remote set up for Options. If you are using the StreamZap you'll have to set up one of the 4 extra Macro buttons as:

C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\SageTV.exe -event 29

If you have a Hauppuage remote that would normally already be pre-set for the yellow button.

As for your other problem with the Guide, that seems to depend on how you have things configured (and even then sometimes seems to be un-predictable). You'll have to play with that one until you figure it out I guess.

The sheet that came with the stuff I got from Frey showed an example setup for the 4 StreamZap macro buttons like this:

Red = Toggle Mouse Mode On/Off (set from StreamZap dropdown list) Comes in handy somtimes if you can't get to things with other buttons

Green = SageTV Info
C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\SageTV.exe -event 24

Yellow = SageTV Options
C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\SageTV.exe -event 29

Blue = SageTV Guide
C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV\SageTV.exe -event 18

Of course, you can set them up for whatever you prefer.

If you have to send messages by running an exe, you ought to check out my SendMessage utility. It is a smaller program, so it loads faster & you get a faster response.
